Review - Braun Silk-epil 5

My old epilator finally gave in and died last week. To be honest, it wasn't the best one I've ever used anyway. I decided to go back to a brand I knew and trusted - Braun. The model I chose was the Braun Silk-epil 5 and after comparing prices all over the internet, I brought it from Argos  for £39.99. Braun Silk-epil 5 The packaging is sturdy and straightforward to open, you can see the epilator inside. It comes with a shaver attachment, a cleaning brush, a number of different trimming attachments for the face and sensitive areas and also a cooling glove that aims to care for your skin by soothing it after you epilate. My favourite features included the light on it, which was quite bright, so this enabled me to see and hairs I was missing. I loved the fact that it was washable too, which means better hygiene, something which I fine vitally important with products like this. Bad Health Days

So, last night I decided on today's to-do list. It wasn't much, I can't physically do much, but it was attainable and made me feel like I would be making a huge contribution to my family.  By midnight I knew it wouldn't be getting done, by me anyway. The pain in my leg had been niggly all day and it was getting out of control. I tried to go to bed to rest it, which only caused my back to go into spasm. I ended up with a dose of rescue medicine. I hate taking it, I know that yes it helps, but it's going to leave me with a medication hangover for most of the following day. My night was super restless, with hours of crap tv, Candy Crush and Kindle reading.  This morning, I tried to get on with it, but just getting downstairs was enough to reduce me to tears. And so I sit here with a heat pad, on the sofa, with my feet up writing this and all the people around me are yet again picking up the slack, doing not only their own chores but my to-do list too.  I feel indebt...

This Is Me

So, I thought I best start this blog off with a little getting to know me session. Here's the bits that are probably best to know ..... The title kind of gives it away - my name's Chrissie I'm 33, my children are 14, 12 and 11 I'm disabled, with complexed spinal issues I've never blogged before I order a Singapore chow mein, with no beansprouts from the Chinese for a take away I love shopping The sun shinning makes me feel happy I have blonde (ish) hair I'm currently reading 'Billy and Me' by Giovanna Fletcher When I can't sleep I scroll through Pinterest looking for quotes, recipe ideas and home decor inspiration
